Puzzles are relaxing for me. I always feel accomplished seeing a puzzle completed. I get to connect with people and get lost in the activity for a while and disconnect from the many distractions in the world.

My Favorite Memory: Aimee and I were working the Black on the Block event in LA and a girl passed by at our booth. At first, she seemed to be on a mission to go somewhere but after a short glance at our display her face lit up and she had to stop. She resembled one of the girls in our piece, "Sisters" by Ija Charles and was immediately drawn to it. It's warming to see hers and many other reactions from our customers who are excited to see themselves in an everyday product like jigsaw puzzles.

Why Black Plum: It's a celebration of love. The playful affection between the couples embrace really spoke to me. I love how the colors complement the creative style of the artist, Craig Carter. The brush strokes overlap in sort of a chaotic way, but the image comes together in a very focal view. I loved doing this puzzle, and it looks even more amazing in a frame.

Why Wapato Woman: It was the first piece we selected for our sophomore collection. Everything about the art embodies what we want for a puzzle. A strong work of art, vibrant color, a fun challenge with the symmetrical image, and a powerful story to be shared. The history of indigenous peoples is something to revere and be celebrated.

Thank you for being active in the little community that we are building. It's cool to see that people care about our business and can find their people in this whole project. In a world that's increasingly becoming more popular with technology, I love that so many are getting into a new hobby or revamping their love of puzzles.
